Given the struggles of women over the years and a well-proven work efficiency in field, at least, we have two streams of thoughts at working avenues, classrooms, family dining and more such places as an outcome.

The theme of International Girl Child Day 2019, which is celebrated on 11th October, is "Girl Force: Unscripted and Unstoppable". Over the past few decades, there has been an upsurge in activities that suggest women making inroads in almost every field, nevertheless, patriarchal hegemony still persists with standards force in such fields. Given the struggles of women over the years and a well-proven work efficiency in field, at least, we have two streams of thoughts at working avenues, classrooms, family dining and more such places as an outcome.

The first line of this article tells us about theme for this year’s International Girl Child Day, in today’s perspective, which is more apt than ever. Just a few days ago, when Greta Thunberg, a 16 year old Swedish girl, spoke so passionately at world stage about rights for her generation and rights for environment, she caught all the eyes and the world listened to her; the world had to for she spoke with such conviction that each word coming out of her mouth was like a testimony to past two-three centuries’ worldly behaviour— behaviour that degraded environment to scary level but wrapped in mould of industrial revolution. Story of Greta Thunberg is courageous and inspiring but in her speech she rightly made her point that it need not be glorified for it is not normal for a 16 something girl to come out and say so bitter things to world leaders.
